My name is Julie Holland and I have a passion for all animals, big and small.  I have had many pets of my own including hamsters, mice, gerbils, rabbits, cats, dogs, horses, snakes and chickens.

 

The black and white cat in the heading of this site is Lima, after whom this site is named.  He was one in a million.  I got him as a kitten from the RSPCA and he grew up to be a very handsome boy. 

 

Lima wasn't very good with strangers, so when we went on holiday, I would much rather leave him at home, where he knew and felt safe.  I put him into a cattery once when there was no one to look after him at home, and I explained to the lady there that he didn't like people so don't be surprised if he doesn't come up to you. ' Oh he'll be fine', she said. Well, when I went to pick him up a few days later, she said, 'you better go in and get him, as I haven't been able to get near him'.  I went in there, and the first thing he did was shoot to the back and hiss.  I called his name and he realised it was me and came running over purring his head off.  I promised him there and then that he would never go in a cattery again,  and I kept that promise to him.  Some animals just prefer home!

 

So I decided to start up Lima's Pet Sitting so all those pets that would prefer to stay at home while their owners are away can now do so, and you know that they will be much happier in the safe and comfortable environment that they know.
